The Rally\u00a0Empord\u00e0\u00a0has come back again…\u00a0and even the\u00a0weather\u00a0smiled at us in this 35th edition!\u00a0A\u00a0total\u00a0of 115 registered teams, motor enthusiasms as well as\u00a0plenty\u00a0of\u00a0positive\u00a0energy\u00a0were\u00a0what\u00a0guaranteed\u00a0the\u00a0success\u00a0for this\u00a0event that\u00a0Escuderia\u00a0Baix\u00a0Empord\u00e0\u00a0(EBE)\u00a0organized, and Transport\u00a0Sol\u00e9s sponsored.<\/p>\n
On Friday, May 27th the technical verifications took place at the facilities of Transports Sol\u00e9s, in Vulpellac. Then, on Saturday 28th the engines started to roar from 10:00 am. The race started and finished in la Bisbal. It covered 158 kilometres along the roads of the Baix Empord\u00e0 region, from the interior to the coast, not forgetting the Gavarres mountain range and the peak of Els \u00c0ngels.<\/p>\n
“We look forward to Rally Empord\u00e0 every year. It is a pleasure being able to support the Escuderia Baix Empord\u00e0 in this event,” says Francesc Xavier Sol\u00e9s, head of Transport Sol\u00e9s. He continues saying,”This classic motorsport event not only promotes the sport and gives visibility to our area, but the professionalism and good organization of the EBE engages a significant number of teams as well.”<\/p>\n
Mart\u00ed Juanals, director of the Rally Empord\u00e0, values positively the course of the event. “One more year, we have had great registration success and an outstanding number of participants, with top-level teams,” he explains. “The event has taken place without any notable incidents. The development has been pleasant, with the utmost punctuality in every test.” he adds.<\/p>\n
“We are delighted and grateful to Transports Sol\u00e9s for their sponsorship and for opening the doors of their facilities. It provides us with a large space where we can carry out all the assessments and ratings perfectly and find ourselves wonderfully attended”, concludes Juanals.<\/p>\n

Results of the 35th<\/sup> Rally Empord\u00e0<\/strong><\/p>\n The Rally Empord\u00e0 scores for the Catalan Rally Championship. The first place on the podium was taken by Eduard Pons and Alberto Chamorro, from Mapo Motorsport, with a Skoda Fabia and clocked a time of 56’51.6.<\/p>\n Xavier Dom\u00e8nech and Susanna Cercadillo from the Motor Club Sabadell with their Porsche 997 obtained second place.
